Annapolis Nearly New Houses in a Town Steeped in History

Annapolis is the state capital of Maryland. It is only 26 miles south of renowned Baltimore, and only 29 miles east of Washington D.C. With its proximity to the nation’s capital, it is typical for Annapolis residents to commute into the hectic Washington D.C. area for work. Annapolis nearly new houses are located on the Chesapeake Bay at the mouth of the Severn River, and the bay lends itself to great boating. In fact, this community is sometimes referred to as “America’s Sailing Capital.” Most of the boats that are found docked here are recreational boats, although historically, Annapolis was a major port for trade. Numerous walking and biking trails have been developed throughout the city for all residents and visitors to enjoy. The U.S. Naval Academy and St. John’s College both call Annapolis home. Numerous art galleries, several museums and a thriving theater let residents enjoy many worthwhile activities. Annapolis also holds claim to having the oldest continuously-used state legislature building in the United States.
